Aligner set tracking (live)
Each aligner order records the set number and total sets, for example 7 of 22, with due date and status. Per-patient wear days and automatic change-day WhatsApp nudges are planned.
Braces and wire sequence (planned)
Today bracket system, archwire sequence and adjustments go in clinical notes and monthly visits are booked as appointments. A structured braces log with missed-adjustment recall is planned.
Progress photos (live)
Intra-oral and profile photos uploaded to the patient's imaging with dates, and attachable to an aligner lab case. A side-by-side month-by-month timeline is planned.
Long-treatment EMI (live)
Staff set a deposit and any number of monthly instalments, such as 12 or 18. Each instalment gets a WhatsApp reminder two days before it is due; collection runs by UPI AutoPay through your gateway or is marked paid.
Aligner-lab links (live)
Each aligner order is a lab case with a private link: prescription, photos, set count and status. Refinements are opened as a new case.
Visiting orthodontist payouts (live)
A percentage of the procedures they complete, on all work or chosen categories, in a monthly statement with a TDS (194J) note. A consolidated multi-clinic view is planned.
An aligner case, start to finish
Consult and scan
Chart the extractions or other work, upload photos, and send the plan on WhatsApp for approval at home with a deposit; set the long instalment schedule from billing.
Lab order
The aligner lab gets a private link with the prescription and photos. Status flows back; the patient is messaged when you mark the sets received.
Wear and change
Update the set number on each lab case. Patients can send a photo on WhatsApp if a tray does not seat. Automatic change-day nudges are planned.
Refine and retain
Refinements and the retainer are new lab cases, and recall switches to six-monthly check-ups.
What it costs compared with US orthodontic tools
Orthodontic practice systems built for the US, such as OrthoTrac-style suites and cloud aligner trackers, are priced in US dollars for insurance-driven practices, usually as a quote plus implementation fees; check current prices with each vendor. They are not designed for UPI, WhatsApp or a visiting consultant model where one orthodontist covers four clinics on four different days.
Dental Software India's orthodontics module is part of the Chain plan at ₹5,999 per month, which also covers unlimited chairs, unlimited outside-lab cases and branch-wise reporting. A single-clinic orthodontist who does not need multi-branch can still use the Clinic plan for charting, WhatsApp plan approval and EMI, and add Chain when the case tracker becomes worth it.

How does aligner tracking work in Dental Software India?
Today each aligner order is a lab case that records the set number and total sets (for example 4 of 18), the aligner lab, due date, photos and status, and the lab updates it from its link. Per-patient wear-day tracking and automatic change-day WhatsApp nudges are planned; until then the clinic sends reminders from the patient's WhatsApp conversation.
Can braces patients be tracked the same way?
Not as a dedicated module yet. Today a braces patient's bracket system, wire sequence and adjustments go in clinical notes with photos in imaging, and monthly visits are booked as appointments. A structured braces log with missed-adjustment recall is planned.
What are the EMI settings for orthodontic cases?
Staff can create an EMI schedule for any number of monthly instalments, such as 12 or 18, with a deposit at bonding or first aligner delivery. On the patient's plan page the self-service options are 3, 4, 6 or 12 instalments. Collection runs by UPI AutoPay through your payment gateway, or by UPI or cash marked paid.
Does it handle a visiting orthodontist across several clinics?
Yes, within one Dental Software India account: the orthodontist is a visiting consultant with their own split, and each month produces a payout statement for them. A consolidated multi-clinic statement and an orthodontist login of their own are planned.
Is orthodontics included in every plan?
Aligner set tracking on lab cases is part of the Chain plan at ₹5,999 per month. Solo and Clinic plans can still chart, plan and bill orthodontic procedures and create EMI schedules.
